Peter Brook (1927- 2009)
Peter paints the disappearing landscape of the
Pennines that he loves, trusty sheepdog in tow. The Crumbling Mills and
deserted, desolate landscapes that are now vanishing from this Country are
Brooks canvas. He always injects humour and beauty into the scenes he
paints. He is collected all over the World . Large Public galleries hold
his work and this year he featured in the Tate Gallery Annual Desk Diary 2009
along with artist's like Francis Bacon and Henry Moore.
